Early October is a good time for a check-in

Students often enter the new school year with the best of intentions. But by October, even the best-laid plans can begin to go awry. This is a good time to check-in with your child and make any necessary course adjustments. Check in on physical organization and make sure her binders and backpack are organized and tidy. Take a close look at her assignment book/planner to be sure she’s tracking and managing her homework effectively. And visit online resources to see how her grades are looking and if there are any assignments missing. A quick course correction now could make a world of difference as the year progresses.
