Parents: be involved as best you can

Want to be more involved in your child’s school life but can’t commit to being in his classroom to help out on a regular basis? You can offer to edit newsletters, type up stories for young writers, call other parents to bring in supplies for a special event or even be the chaperone on a field trip. Even though older students may not like to admit it, knowing their parents are willing to take even a little time out of their busy schedules to participate in their school life reminds students of just how important they are.
