Words matter

Words matter. What a student hears from a parent or a teacher impacts their sense of self, for good or bad. Your words can inspire or they can discourage. Poorly chosen words can set limits in a student’s mind as to what he can achieve. As we honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. today, consider the words you choose and the impact they may have on those hearing them. Dr. King chose his words wisely and 60 years later those same words continue to embolden and galvanize millions of Americans and forward-thinkers worldwide.
