Set the stage for test success

Set the stage for test success. Before your child takes a big test (be it a final exam, the MCAS, or the SATs), talk to him about any anxiety he may feel around taking the test, and remind him that no one test determines his success in school or life nor does his performance ― good or bad ― reflect his worth as a person. Also, make sure he gets a good night’s sleep and has a real breakfast before heading off to tackle the exam. Going into the exam well-rested and fortified will make a world of difference.
