Reduce test-taking anxiety

Assessments can be nerve-wracking for students, especially cumulative exams like midterms or finals. The best way to reduce test-taking anxiety is to uncover the root of the stress and problem-solve around those key triggers. Perhaps it’s your child’s first time taking final exams and he feels overwhelmed by the enormity of it. Maybe he doesn’t know how to plan and study for a final exam. Or perhaps he realizes he never really had a firm handle on the content to begin with. Once you and your child diagnose the trigger(s) of his anxiety, you can take steps together to improve his test-taking approach, mentality, and performance.
