Tools for footnotes

Remember what a hassle it was to create bibliographies or insert footnotes into research papers? Well, that is pretty much a non-issue for today’s students! Encourage your child to make use of Word’s “Document Elements,” NoodleTools (a paid service to which many schools subscribe for their students, and which also has a free “lite” version) or other citation programs. These frameworks, which adhere to a number of standard citation formats, can guide him through putting in the appropriate information, in the appropriate order. And all that extra time and energy he’s saved on citing sources can be redirected toward editing and enriching the content of the research paper!
